"Carta aberta sobre a minha saída da Madeira Adventures"

Acabei de tornar pública a decisão de me afastar do projecto de Parapente na Madeira.
O último ano foi super intenso a nível pessoal e após muita introspecção cheguei a este resultado que é o que para mim, mais sentido faz neste momento.
Sinto que este é o Momento ideal para sair.
Saio com a sensação de realização e de ter proporcionado a tantas pessoas um despertar, que provavelmente nenhuma estaria à espera quando se inscreveu para voar ou ter um contacto com a modalidade.
Retiro-me com a satisfação de que o que podia ter feito, fiz, e o que fiz foi da melhor forma que sabia e podia fazer.
Tenho noção do trabalho que foi realizado e das portas que se abriram e outras tantas deixadas entre-abertas que, havendo vontade, motivação e resiliência, trarão muito bons frutos para a Modalidade Regional.
Acredito que temos pessoas capazes para levar o Parapente ainda mais além e solidificar a sempre importante concretização de pelo menos 4 ou 5 locais oficiais e protegidos, para voo.
Foram feitos grandes avanços neste sentido e muitos contactos e boas impressões ficaram, contudo, como em tudo o que envolve o plano político, leva anos, e muitas vezes requer um foco no resultado que assegure que não recuamos perante os entraves burocráticos e legislações obsoletas.
Muito poderia ser dito sobre o que foi e pode ainda ser feito, mas essa é uma questão que dependerá da motivação dos "guerreiros pacíficos" que, de certa forma, continuarem o meu trabalho e a seu mérito próprio, possam alcançar patamares de sucesso na modalidade, ainda além dos meus.
Ficarei Feliz por ver isso acontecer e faço questão de acompanhar com carinho os desenvolvimentos nessa área.
O Voo Livre sempre fará parte de mim, alguém que conheceu o voo pela primeira vez aos 8 anos de idade pelo aeromodelismo e logo que viu o primeiro Parapente se apaixonou.
É um inicio de um novo capitulo na minha vida, este pode até ficar para trás, mas o que aprendi e cresci com ele ficará para sempre comigo.
Quero agradecer o apoio que me deram, sempre que podiam, mas sobretudo a Confiança depositada em mim ao longo destes últimos anos.
A amizade mantém-se inalterada e sempre que possível voltaremos a reunir, numa montanha, praia ou esplanada para partilhar.. Vida.

"Open letter about my departure from Madeira Adventures"

I just made public the decision to step away from my project of paragliding in Madeira.
The last year was super intense on a personal level and after much soul-searching, I came to this result which is what makes more sense for me right now.
I feel that this is the perfect time to leave.
I'm steping out with a feeling of accomplishment after giving so many people an awakening, that probably no one was expecting when signing up to fly.
I step back with the satisfaction of having done everything I could to the best of my abilities.
I am aware of the work that has been carried out and all the doors that were opened and many others left unlocked.
If there is good will, motivation and resilience, it will certainly be fruitful for the future of the sport in our Island.
I believe that we have people able to take Paragliding as a whole even further and solidify the always important achievement of at least 4 or 5 local official and protected takeoffs and landings.
Great advances have been made in this direction and many contacts and good impressions were left, however, as in everything that involves the political meanders, it takes years, and often requires a focus on the outcome that ensures that we do not back down to the bureaucratic obstacles and obsolete laws.
A lot could be said about what was and can still be done, but that is a question that will depend on the motivation of the "peaceful warriors" that, in some way, may continue my work and on their own merits, can reach heights of success in the sport, even beyond my own.
I'll be glad to see that happen and I shall keep a keen eye on the developments in this area.
The free flight will always be a part of me, someone who knew the flight for the first time at the age of 8 through airmodelling and as soon as the first paraglider was seen, fell in love.
It's a beginning of a new chapter in my life, this one can even be left behind, but what I learned and I grew with it will be with me forever.
I want to thank all of you for all the support that you gave me, but especially the trust you placed in me over the past few years.
The friendship is unchanged and whenever possible we will meet again, on a mountain, beach or a balcony somewhere to share.. Life.
