The old saying of "if you love doing something you are not working", was definitely came up by someone that looked from the outside..
I would easily agree with the accomplishment part, you feel more realized, more fulfilled. However, you have to work a lot if you want to be successful!
I have been working more these last few years than in all my previous professional life and that was my personal choice, so was the path I chose to go along.
The impact you have on people, their feedback, words, smiles and emotions are the fuel for a demanding and yes, strenuous, activity.
The smile and the motivation you see on someone who does what he or she loves, comes from deep inside, a secret place where we store all "the people" we somehow "touched" and helped in someway.
Saying that this is not work is probably the only thing I had issues accepting from people throughout these years.. thankfully more and more are realizing the huge responsibility and invisible back-office work to get the "boat at the sea"..
That and me understanding in a more deep way that, if people think I'm not working it's certainly because I am passing a complete relaxed experience and that is amazing :)

It would be the same to say that professional airline pilots are on "holidays" while flying..
While that remains true when one flying for pleasure, Alone, that is a Planet's distance from it, when you get one or more people on board.
You still enjoy what you are doing and feel blessed, otherwise you should not be doing it, however if you don't feel the pressure of the moment you are doing something terribly wrong and people may be in danger.
To sum up this already long text, I advise everybody to look deep inside to search for inspiration and run towards their passions, what makes them fulfilled work wise, though never forget to weigh in the most important factor..
If you will do something like you were on holidays and just for the fun of it, please save your time and don't even start because it won't work like that.
However, if you would do it even if you didn't earn a single cent, then you are Definitely in the right place, doing exactly what you should ;)
